About Us
A Note from the Owner
My parents, Tom and Jean Dergay, opened Wilmington Blinds in 1997 with a commitment to offer quality products with unmatched client service. If you had the pleasure of meeting them, you know this commitment was sincere. If you had the joy of knowing my Dad, you’re very lucky. Eventually they added another line of quality products and the company grew to Wilmington Blinds & More, providing custom window treatments and home organization products.
I’ve had the privilege of owning the store for a few years and have made it my priority to carry on the same foundation of quality and service. I also had the opportunity to reimagine what Wilmington Blinds & More could be and have made a few tweaks to better serve each of you.
I personally curated a collection of product lines to ensure we have offerings for everyone. We will always be a Hunter Douglas Gallery and showcase the quality, functionality and beauty of Hunter Douglas. Their products are unmatched in the window treatment niche. But, I saw a need and desire for additional options for our clients. With keeping quality at the forefront, I’m happy to share I’ve added Norman and Pro Design to our product offerings. Norman is another worldwide vendor that has high quality beautiful products to include shutters, blinds and shades. Pro Design is a smaller company that specializes is roman and roller shades and their fabric offerings are so unique I just couldn’t resist. I also love their small business atmosphere with similar values and goals. Blending these 3 lines truly creates a space where you can compare and contract different price points without scarifying quality.
But there’s More… We continue to carry the full line from More Space Place providing home organization products. Custom Closets, Murphy Beds, Custom Pantries, Home Offices, Garage Systems, Mudrooms and so much more. If you have a space and need help with options to maximize the functionality and beauty, we are here to help.
To me, the store is a mix of many family memories, community history and old fashioned business principles that I’m proud to continue. I would do just about anything to share this with my Dad, but I know he’s smiling watching my husband and I usher in the next generation of Wilmington Blinds & More. It’s his legacy I will forever cherish. I hope you love our new store as much as we do.
Sincerely,
Jen Croker, Forever Tom’s Daughter
